I have combined my unique talents, experiences and education to live my life with purpose, passion, and conscious growth. I see clients individually in my psychotherapy private practice, coach clients by telephone, conduct workshops and seminars locally as well as nationally, and create life transforming books and music amidst the beauty of the desert.
I attended Naropa University in Boulder, where eastern (primarily Buddhist) and western psychology meet. There, I received my Master's degree and training that gave me expressive arts therapies and other energy tools that address healing for the 'whole' person.
I maintain a private practice of individual clients, and facilitate workshops throughout the year on various topics.
I also coach clients by telephone around the world, assisting them to move into their magnificence and live the life they desire and deserve.
And, as you can see, I have great love and respect for some of my best teachers, my animal companions!
I speak locally as well as nationally to large and small groups on a variety of topics that address living your best life, using powerful energy tools and strategies to move through change with more ease, balance and joy, and the use of music, movement and other expressive media for creating optimal wellness.
My course "Catch the Breeze" is a 7-week teleclass that is interactive, inspirational and is changing lives. "The breakthroughs I have experienced by taking Marcia's Catch the Breeze class are life-changing. She is a breath of fresh healing air!" Mary Gallagher, Pennsylvania
I teach holistic movement classes that are integrative, stress-reducing and fun. My movement therapy training stressed the importance of movement "from the inside out." These classes consist of a series of gentle to powerful movements that awaken your cells, "oil your joints," and balance and energize the energy centers called the chakras.
Marcia brings therapeutic suggestions to the movements that embrace living life fully and with an open heart. Magnificence Movement is a uniquely transpersonal class and integrates support of optimal wellness with empowering principles of expansion, acceptance of self and other, and moving with our life challenges rather than resisting them.
Magnificent Movement is also about reminding us that we are magnificent and worthy of creating our best life possible. I know I was given the gift of living on Earth at this time to grow---to stretch and expand and become the best ME possible. And I think you are here for the same thing. You are a gift to the world, you have purpose, and you have gifts to give. We aren't here just to live out each day the best we can-we are here to fly, to feel the freedom of flight. And one lesson I've taken to heart, especially with my years working in hospice, is that not one moment is guaranteed. You must start now, with your current breath. I want you to step fully into your magnificence, to own it.
Unity Church Music DirectorI am the Music Director for Unity Church of Peace in Tucson, AZ.
If you're in town, come visit us on a Sunday.
I have written 3 self-help books, co-authored 2 more, and produced numerous CDs of my music, guided meditation and self-hypnosis, as well as DVDs. There are other works in progress, always, and creating brings me joy and occasional frustration!
Music is an integral part of who I am and it is also essential to my work. I call my music "intentional" because it can be an effective and powerful tool for change when used with intent. I provide my listeners with the necessary steps to use music in this innovative way.
Music pours into me to assist with my own growth and healing. Over the years, it has also assisted many clients and subscribers to heal and grow on their journeys as well.
You can sign up for my one-of-a-kind ezine called "The Songletter" on the home page. You will receive songs that I have written about various topics, as well as tips and strategies for living your best life.
