I’m a Belle with Balls!

August 21st, 2007

Recently I took part in a talk with Tuck Self who is a fabulous woman from the south who calls herself a “Rebel Belle.” A Rebel Belle is a woman who fully trusts, owns and aligns with her power to embrace the freedom and joy of boldly expressing her voice in the world, full out and in her terms!

She did an interview with me called “Empowering Your Magnificence” and you can see and hear it by clicking here!

Her guests become “Belles with Balls” and I am now proudly amongst them.

Enjoy!

Choosing Joy

August 14th, 2007

A client asked me recently how she can possibly “choose” joy. “Isn’t joy something that just happens?” she asked?

My response was simple: Yes, it does just happen at times, and yes, you can absolutely make a choice to feel joy. Both are true.

What is Joy?

What is joy as you experience it? What brings you great pleasure? I’ll describe a few things that bring me joy. A few minutes ago, I took a plant out of the dirt in my backyard and put it back in a pot and brought it inside. I bought this plant about a week ago, and it lived in the house for the first couple of days. Oh, it was truly magnificent! The colors were stunning, and it practically grinned back at me when I was admiring it.

Less Joyful to More Joyful

I decided it needed to go outside, and be properly planted in the back garden. I chose a location that had partial shade and lovingly planted it. The first day, it began to show wear and tear, and I figured it was just the shock of leaving the pot and being transplanted. Then, yesterday and today, it was clearly suffering from the intense heat. Partial shade wasn’t enough for this sensitive plant.

I took it out of the ground a little while ago, and put it into a pot and brought it back into the house. I took off the dead leaves and gave it some water. It began to perk up immediately. We grinned back at each other.

Now, that’s joy. My heart was singing, as the beauty of this plant touches me to my core. Other things that bring me joy are walks with my daughter, playing hide and seek with my dogs, seeing a rainbow close to my house, or sharing in someone else’s joy.

Get Your Website Out of the Dungeon and Into the Light!

August 4th, 2007

Are You Disenchanted with the Internet?

This isn’t my usual subject matter, and yet I wanted to share with you something that is absolutely working for my business.

Do you sometimes feel like your website is sitting in some dark corner of the Internet, rarely getting looked at? Have you been trying to follow all the Internet marketing gurus tips on getting traffic to your site, but you’re still not reaping any financial rewards? I can relate and I found something to “enliven 2 birds with one kiss.” (I dislike that saying, “kill 2 birds with one stone” and so do my parakeets!)

Downward Spiraling Thoughts Lead to Downward Sales

I felt like I wasn’t very intelligent. After all, I put in lots of hours, lots of cash, and felt I had paid my dues. As I was getting more and more discouraged, I saw that my sales and clients continued to decrease. I knew I had to take immediate action.
Can you relate to this? If you have an internet business, and if you are interested in learning another way, one that won’t cost you anything to join and see what you think, then you are reading the right article.

Your Information is Important and You CAN Get Your Information into View

First, you need to put your focus back in a positive direction. Make sure you are getting enough rest, relaxation and exercise. Take yourself away from the computer for breaks, and go outside and play with your dog or work in your garden. Make sure your spiritual Self is getting nurtured often. Don’t overlook this simple advice, because it can save your life and your business.

It has been proven that if you continue to focus on negative thoughts and emotions, you will only attract more of the same. Your business depends on you taking exquisite care of yourself and your mind. All thoughts are energy and you will have a better chance of reversing your financial progress by shifting your focus.

Next, you can take a look at working with your website in a way that I use, a way that is getting my website viewed daily, and I am making money every day as a result. It’s a good feeling to know that every day people are seeing my website and making the choice whether they want to look further into the site. And this number is growing every day! Now, here’s another amazing part of this program. I am getting paid every day to view other people’s websites! That’s right, I am getting REAL money to spend a short time each day looking at someone else’s hard work. The Law of Attraction is being put to good use!

Why Look at Other People’s Sites?

I enjoy the 10 to 14 minutes per day that I am spending looking at other peoples’ sites. I have found some great leads and resources as a result. And, I am seeing other peoples’ websites that I probably would have never run across on my own. Plus, I know that by doing this simple action, I am adding to my bank account.

If you haven’t seen something like this, don’t worry. I hadn’t either. But when I signed up with the company in November 2006, I started out slowly, with a bit of skepticism. However, when I began to make money, I stopped questioning the reality of this flow, and focused on doing the work I love to do.

Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain

If you are serious about wanting to get out of the dungeon and into the light, you simply need to do something different than what you’ve been doing. Now is the time to make all your hard work begin to pay off. Many people out there in the Internet world need your information, and it is up to you to make sure they can find you. Go ahead and follow the advice of the gurus, but why not add this easy solution to visibility and additional income? Begin to take charge of your thoughts and emotions, and look into a solution to your visibility and income problems.

You deserve a life of more ease and abundance. Go for it!!

Reaching Out to Your Loved Ones in Spirit

June 23rd, 2007

I was meditating the other day and realized that my loved ones in spirit were calling out to me.  It wasn’t that I heard their “physical voices” calling to me, it was more intuitive and subtler.  But the message was very clear:  please connect.

Having done years of bereavement work, I have seen that it is entirely possible and beneficial to maintain a relationship with our loved ones after they have died.  I believe that their souls are nourished and supported in their continuing growth through that connection.

Whether it’s done through prayer, meditation, ceremony, or simply sharing thoughts and feelings with them, this connection is helpful to your growth as well as theirs.  I’ve spoken to others who agree with me that we are all being called, now more than ever, to take time in our busy schedules to do this kind of connecting.  We can assist with the healing of family or ancestral illnesses, and non-supportive patterns or behaviors through our prayers and meditations with and for our deceased family members.  It will ultimately lead to a more peaceful, compassionate and loving world.

You may want to listen to one of my songs, “Reach Out,” as you contemplate your connection with your ancestors (and I’m including your current family in that category–your mother, father, their parents, their siblings, etc.)

The URL for the song is http://www.thesongletter.com/indexreachout.htm

Give Yourself Plenty of TLC, I mean TCLC

June 18th, 2007

No, I don’t mean “tender loving care.”  I mean “technology-challenged loving care.”  I know I need lots of this right now.  How about you?

Are you going through any business or personal challenges that are related to technology?  Problems with getting your emails, or with other people receiving yours; problems with your internet business setup; maybe it’s problems with your ongoing online business; or maybe some problems that aren’t online, but still are related to some sort of modern technology?

Well, if you answered yes to any of those, you are among millions who also need plenty of TCLC.

I know I need to be gentle with myself right now.  The creation of my new website and getting everything running smoothly has seen a number of these types of challenges over the last 6 months.  I’ve had my web designers and virtual assistants, my host or server, as well as various other internet companies that I have purchased software from all upset with each other and with me because what they have attempted to implement was not working.  And no one could seem to find the problem.  Everyone said it was someone else’s doing.

So, if you have been challenged in this way, or are currently feeling at the mercy of some unknown and elusive antagonist, I would like to offer some helpful advice.

First, don’t spend all day, day after day, attempting to solve these issues.  Allow yourself a certain amount of time each day in which you will address the problem, and seek assistance with the solutions.  If you spend too much time on this, you will begin to sabotage your efforts to succeed.  You must create balance by focusing on other things that ARE going RIGHT in your life.  Remember the law of attraction:  what you focus on, you attract.  If you choose to remain in frustration or circular thinking a good part of your day, you will end up perpetuating your problems.

And remember, these challenges are in front of you for a purpose.  Look for the lesson they are bringing.  Perhaps the lesson doesn’t have much to do with the challenges you are working with, but perhaps they mirror something else in your life that needs attention.

Next, make sure you are getting some pleasurable movement into your week.  Doing something outdoors is best, as nature will lend you a hand in creating balance and optimism.  Whether it’s a walk, a bike ride, a swim or some other movement activity, spend part of that time feeling and expressing out loud, or silently, your gratitude for all that is good in your life.  This movement, combined with the gratitude exercise, will keep your subconscious and conscious mind focused on your goals and intents.

And finally, choose some people, activities, and exercises that will nurture your confidence, your belief in your ability to succeed in what you are doing, and your feelings of self-worth.  Whatever you usually do to connect with your inner worth, to nurture your self-esteem, and to feel good about yourself, DO MORE OF THESE.

This is a time when you need to offset the frustration that is coming into your being on a daily basis.  I’d even suggest using some intentional music, music that supports being kind and gentle with yourself, and lets you know you are doing the best you can.
Here’s one that you can listen to right now:  www.thesongletter.com/indexallthatiknow.htm

Enjoy! And many blessings to you,

Marcia

A Leisurely Drive to My Daughter’s School vs Terror in the Streets

March 14th, 2006

Do you worry that when you drive your children to school or to a friend’s house that you will all be blown up on the way? I hope that is not the case for you. I don’t, thank God. But there are people who do.

One day I was driving my daughter to her school. Now this has never been a chore to me in the 13 years that I have done it. It is special time that we share, listening to music or talking about our dreams or events in our lives.

On this recent day, I had dropped her off at school and was on my way home. I was listening to the radio, and heard a program where a man from Iraq was being interviewed. His words were translated, and as the story progressed, I began to feel powerful emotions.

This man told the interviewer how he prays for hours before he takes his family somewhere. What used to be a leisurely drive across town for them has now become a game of Russian roulette.

He spoke of how he gets very agitated when there are traffic jams, which are very common because the traffic lights aren’t working. He says he doesn’t know whether the car next to him might have a suicide bomber driving, and that his car and his family will be blown up any second.

He prays very hard when his car is stopped like this.

Can you imagine the stress his body, his mind, his heart and spirit are under at these times? Every day, this is a reality in Iraq and other places where conflict rages.

I thought a lot about this man all day. I thought about how it must be difficult for him and other parents in Iraq to hold hope strong for their children, hope for a peaceful and blessed future.

And I knew I could do one small act each day for those parents and children. I decided to spend some time each day in meditation and prayer, sending hope to this man and his family, and sending hope to all the parents and children of Iraq who are feeling fear and uncertainty.

I know that when I sit down and set my intent, and then imagine a light extending from my heart through space and time to the hearts of these grief-stricken people, that with the assistance of Spirit, there is a good chance that this precious time that I take is actually making a difference. Research has clearly shown the effectiveness of prayer and distance healing.

If you are so moved, I hope you consider doing this in your unique way, and together we can hold the space for the people of Iraq and other places in the world who are having difficulty holding the hope themselves.

Many blessings,
Marcia
